Choosing the right cloth diaper for your family, and making it work for you, is essential to your success with cloth diapering. All our cloth diapers are of the highest quality. What is right for your family will depend on your budget, the shape and potty habits of your baby and, very simply, what appeals to you. If you want to cloth diaper full time, we recommend you purchase about 24 diapers.
Many cloth diapers - fitted diapers, contour diapers and prefolds- require a cover or wrap to make the diaper exterior waterproof and prevent wetness from escaping. We recommend about 4-6 covers per size. All-in-one and pocket diapers do not require a cover or wrap, because the waterproof exterior is already attached.
In addition to covers, you may also need inserts or doublers to have available as additional layers of absorbency, especially during naps or nighttime. We recommend starting with about 6 inserts or doublers.
